Rachel's Place Early Learning Center is a ministry of Hope Lutheran Chruch where children and families develop and become what they were created to be - beloved children of God. Studies have shown the first five years to be the most formative in a person's development. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for each child that will stimulate their physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual growth through a well rounded and developmentally appropriate program.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enrich the quality of family life by providing peace of mind to parents and by providing a safe and loving environment to children where they are given opportunities to learn about God's love through nurturing, acceptance, understanding, and love provided by those who guide their development.
Rachel's Place Early Learning Center
A Response to a Parent's Lament
In the Old Testament, Rachel is the winner of the Mother of the year Award. As Jocob's wife she gives birth to two sons, Joseph and Benjamin. While giving birth to Benjamin, she dies. Throughout her life, Rachel is an advocate for her children and weeps for them, she will not stop weeping for her children.
The prophet Jeremiah calls atentionto Rachel and her never-ending weeping. The prophet is bold to claim that God will not stand idle while Rachel weeps for the children. Jeremiah says, "The children shall come back." One day Rachel's weeping will end.
Rachel's Place Early Learning Center is a response to Rachel's lament and is a visible sign of trust in God's promise. May this place be one small glimpse that God will one day end all parents' laments. One day all children will be brought back and know the joy, wonder and hope that comes from being children God.
The parents' laments and fears are real. Yet even more real is the powerful promise of God which claims the last word will be the embrace and love and care known through Jesus.
Rachel's Place trusts the promises of God and lives them out in faithful service to children and their parents.
